Ministry Highlights:

Ladies Take-a-Break Kickoff

August 25, 2011

demoCome for a time of fun and fellowship as we introduce our Fall Bible topic: "Adventurous Prayer"; a study from the "Women of Faith" series.  Prayer: we know we should all do it more often; our days are full, our lives are complicated, and our hearts are heavy with unspoken prayers.  God knows, and He is waiting for us to turn, and tell Him all about it.  God is listening for our whispers, and He will answer us.  More ...

Need Prayer?

Let us pray with you, and for you

August 25, 2011

demoCome to the front of the sanctuary directly following the service so we can listen to your needs, and pray with you and for you; or even just to talk.

ARBC Staff:  Ministry Team

In the Beginning:

Avenue Road Baptist Church serves a congregation of between 150-200 in the city of Cambridge, Ontario.  Although Avenue Road Baptist has changed over the years, it's roots can be found back as far as the late 19th century.      - more history

Where we're going:

Avenue Road has gone through several major changes, as we collectively took the opportunity to re-examine ourselves and our mission.  In the process of re-discovering who we are, identifying the people we serve, and our reason for existing, we came to a deeper understanding of the vision for ministry at Avenue Road.  It is our belief that God bestows gifts of the Holy Spirit, and empowerment for service to all believers.  As our ministry has progressed, God has  brought a variety of unique gifts to enrich our ministry as we fulfill our vision:

As the people of Avenue Road Baptist Church, we exist to declare the reign of God in Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, living God's love:

        • in word,
        • in worship,
        • in service,
        • in community.

As our ministry has evolved over the years, so have the faces of those who have publicly represented the many who serve and worship behind the scenes at Avenue Road.
