Ladies Take-a-Break Kickoff
August 25, 2011
Come
for a time of fun and fellowship as we introduce our Fall Bible topic:
"Adventurous Prayer"; a study from the "Women of Faith" series. Prayer: we
know we should all do it more often; our days are full, our lives are
complicated, and our hearts are heavy with unspoken prayers. God knows,
and He is waiting for us to turn, and tell Him all about it. God is
listening for our whispers, and He will answer us.

Need Prayer?
Let us pray with you, and for you
August 25, 2011
Come
to the front of the sanctuary directly following the service so we can listen to
your needs, and pray with you and for you; or even just to talk.
Check out Special Events.
Check here regularly for special events happening at Avenue Road, and in our local community. Know of an event the Christian Community can get excited about? Let us know, so we can spread the word!

Over the past year, we as a congregation have been discussing how the church structures can be leaner and more efficient in their ability to carry out its mission. The next phase in the discussion is planned for March 6th, and is an opportunity to get your input on possible changes in how the church organizes itself. You are encouraged to attend either the 2 pm or 7 pm meeting and join the discussion. Each session will not be more than 2 hours.
Baptismal Service

ARBC Annual Meeting
Sunday, March 25 following the regular morning service

The agenda and annual report (including financial, board, committees, and pastor reports) will be available March 18. In order to meet the publication and production logistics, all committee reports are asked to be submitted to Barb by February 26. It would ease the publication process if the reports could be emailed to Barb at avenueroad@rogers.com .
April 2012 Epicenter Ignition Event
Many of you have been hearing about this incredible, year-long, youth evangelism and leadership development initiative happening right now in the Waterloo-Wellington region. So far, over 1,000 students have had the opportunity to be involved, including many from ARBC. The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada is working hard to raise the nearly $300,000 required to support this exciting ministry. Would you consider offering your support? Look for the April 2012 Epicentre Ignition event, happening in the Kitchener-Waterloo area . Some details are still being finalized.
Talk to Pastor Chris or the Office for details and updates!
